How It Works

All prices below exclude VAT where applicable. 

Here’s how you can start your lawn care business with Mr. Lawn, along with associated costs (all fees are subject to change per the Written Agreement and inflation adjustments):

1. Area Availability and Agreement
   Confirm the availability of your preferred operating area and sign our trading contract to begin your journey as a Mr. Lawn business owner.

2. Initial Training Fee: £3,000 (50% off £1,500) 
   This fee includes a comprehensive five-day hands-on training course covering all aspects of running a successful lawn care business. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, visit customer lawns, and gain practical experience in quoting, invoicing, equipment use, stock management, and more. If you need additional training to build confidence, you can join further sessions at no extra cost. Our goal is to equip you with the tools and knowledge to start generating revenue quickly.

3. First-Year Licensing and Accounting Fee: £2,000
   This fee covers your first year’s licensing to operate as a Mr. Lawn business and includes accounting services to help you register your business and ensure tax compliance. Unlike traditional franchises that charge a percentage of your turnover, our flat-rate licensing fee ensures you keep more of your earnings, regardless of how hard you work.

4. Ongoing Fees

   • Year Two: £100/month for Mr. Lawn licensing and £100/month for accounting services.

   • Year Three Onward: £200/month for Mr. Lawn licensing and £110/month for accounting services.
     These fees include ongoing support, such as query resolution, newsletters, administrative tasks, website updates, email management, new product development, and branding.

5. The initial equipment investment typically ranges from £20,000 to £30,000, with the majority covering a reliable van to get you started. Don’t let this figure discourage you! If you have a solid credit score, financing options are widely available to make this investment manageable.
   You’ll need to invest in a van (with professional wrapping), equipment (e.g., scarifier, aerator, mower, spreader, sprayer), and initial chemical supplies to ensure you’re fully equipped to deliver top-quality lawn care services.
